About Us

How the duck t-shirts came to be is quite a wild story. The idea of the duck and the logo actually came to be when I opened up a convenient store in the North End of Boston, MA. I was in competition with two well established convenient stores. White Hen and The Golden Goose. I thought it would be funny to have a spin off of the convenient stores which is when I came up with the name The Wild Duck. 

The convenient store became big and I even started hearing chatter amongst people saying they were going to meet up at "The Duck" which was a slang term for my store. I loved the store and the idea a lot, but things began to move in another direction. 

I turned the convenient store into a flourishing liquor store, but kept the name The Wild Duck. I had an idea to start printing t-shirts which we sold outside of the store and they were a huge hit in the North End. The liquor business became extremely stressful and I eventually decided to sell the two liquor stores that I owned and began to focus solely on the duck apparel. 

This was the beginning of the Duck Wild Online Shop which now sells funny and sometimes even raunchy duck apparel. Welcome to the Duck Wild Family!
